Student Facilities & Support
We want to ensure that you easily settle into university life and we have an excellent support network available to all students. At Ulster we aim to offer support for all aspects of your personal and academic life while you are studying at the University of Ulster. Our services are available to all students.
Examples of the support available includes:
- Academic Support: You will be assigned an Adviser of Studies who provides guidance and help in matters relating to your course.
- Study facilities: Our libraries on each campus house over three-quarter of a million books and you will have free access to computers and the World Wide Web. Our campuses are all Wi-Fi enabled.
- Health care: Confidential health care is provided to all students by a team of experienced registered nurses.
- Counselling: This service is available to all students who feel they need to speak to someone in confidence.
- Disability: Individual support and facilities are provided for students with disabilities. You can find out more here.
- Student Finance: The Student Funding team provide information on all aspects of student finance.
- Living away from home: Many students choose to live away from home. Our university accommodation is reasonably priced and either on or close to each campus.
- Students’ Union: The Students’ Union is represented on all campus and plays an important part in representing the student voice on all aspects of student life, provides entertainment and is a great way to meet people!
- Religious Worship: Chaplains on all campuses are pastors to the student community and organize many fund-raising and charity events. The University’s Christian Union society is one of the largest in Ireland.
