University of Ulster confirmed its status as an internationally-recognised institution for research in the last national Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) in 2008. Some 86% of our research activity was judged to be of international quality and almost 20% was classified as world-leading. We are proud of our achievements which have placed us firmly in the top third of UK universities for research.
